The Capybara. Looks like it’s been designed by someone half-heartedly making animal shapes out of hairy lego. They are the world’s largest rodent, but fear not, their closest relation is the guinea pig rather than the rat. Nothing against rats, but I’m happy with the size they are thank you. Turns out I knew nothing about these guys but, brace yourselves, I’m now an expert. Capybara are semi-aquatic, can hold their breath for up to five minutes and often fall asleep in the water with their noses poking out. They also have webbed toes, which I think is the real giveaway. You can’t just call yourself semi aquatic if you love a bath. Webbed toes though? Done deal. They supposedly do it to cool down but I would imagine the real reason is because they never feel clean as they eat their own bum nuggets. No amount of scrubbing is going to wash that off is it? But ooh you’d try. Other animals appear to love sitting on them, probably because they look like they're not going anywhere but I’ve just read that at top speed they can run as fast as a horse. hmm….Chinny-reckon.
