The Alicorn. The word alicorn is a possibly Latin, possibly Italian word referring to the horn of the Unicorn. At some point it started to be used to describe a winged unicorn. This may or may not be the fault of ‘My Little Pony’, and I have just uncovered some bitter and perhaps even psychotic blogs where this particular point is thrashed out using increasingly violent language. People take this very seriously. I daren’t throw my hat in that particular ring, so I’ll simply say that they have also been referred to as Cerapter, Pegacorn, Unisus, Unipeg and the somewhat obvious choice, Winged Unicorn. I implore you not to use Pegacorn. Sounds an awful lot like undigested sweetcorn. One thing I do know for sure though is that you lot went absolutely bananas for the first Unicorn I did, so here’s another one! And I still don’t appear to have a Porsche so if you could also just tell all of your Unicorn loving friends… Thanks ever so.
