The Koi Carp. There’s a myth about koi trying to swim up a waterfall for 100 years, whilst demons laugh at them. Eventually, one of the persistent little scaled sausages makes it and the gods reward it by turning it into a golden dragon. I’m going to assume this was probably worth the effort, but 100 years is aaaaaages. And you would hope that dragons live for a long time. Don’t want to find out that you’ve been grafting for a century only to be told sorry mate, it’s a bit like a dragon fly situation, you’ve got 24 hours to shake your golden booty before you bugger off back to oblivion. I can only assume the moral of this story is read the small print.
