Meerkats. Focus on the positive Thomas. Positive fact vibes only… They’re a clever, communicative, cute and sort of cuddly type of Mongoose! They’re immune to scorpion poison, have different warning sounds for various predators and sleep in big heaps. When they're choosing a new matriarch, they have an eating contest! Oh what fun! They can see a bird in the sky from literally miles away, and the black bits around their eyes are to reduce glare in the desert. All good stuff! Leave it there? Everyone’s happy! I CAN’T. Because oh, they’re also KILLERS. Possibly one of the most brutal species around, it has been estimated that 20% of all Meerkat deaths are actually murders. I have absolutely no other animal statistics to compare this with. Maybe they just die really easily? Terrible way to end this paragraph really. Try and end on something lighter Tom, for god sake. Ooh, umm…. they have a third eyelid? Just leave it.
